We are building out our Product Development team and looking for a highly experienced, hands-on Lead Electrical Engineer to drive the electrical design and integration of our implantable neurotechnology platform. As a core member of the product team, you will tackle high-impact engineering challenges, and help shape revolutionary devices that will lead to transformative healthcare outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical architecture for a next-generation implantable neurotechnology platform, driving design decisions across analog, digital, power, safety, and communication domains.
- Own the full lifecycle of electrical subsystem development: requirements, architecture, schematic design, layout oversight, DFM/DFT, verification, and design transfer.
- Architect low-noise, low-power and high bandwidth systems for neural recording and stimulation.
- Conduct simulation, modeling, and analysis (signal integrity, power integrity, thermal, safety, reliability).
- Lead verification and validation for electrical systems—including benchtop, environmental, sterilization, preclinical, and clinical readiness testing.
- Manage component selection, vendor qualification, and manufacturing partnerships for implantable-grade electronics.
- Ensure designs meet medical safety standards, EMC/EMI requirements, and regulatory constraints.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define electrical interfaces, requirements, and traceability.
- Serve as a technical leader and mentor—reviewing designs, coaching engineers, and setting electrical engineering best practices.
- Support long-term technology roadmap planning, including next-generation architectures.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or a related field;
- 8+ years of experience in electrical design for high-performance, safety-critical, or medical devices.
